This is the website for the Boston-based, long-time singer-songwriter Simon Thought and the upstart electronic Uploads. Mr. Thought’s poetic, pointed lyrics are, at times, left to their own devices, and other times are matched with a series of impersonal looped sounds and beats. Either way, there is a touch of humanity in every track.

The debut album, “Technology”, is a theme album which arose from the collaboration between long-time singer-songwriter Simon Thought and the upstart electronic Uploads. It melds Mr. Thought’s poetic, pointed lyrics with a series of impersonal looped sounds and beats; however, a touch of humanity is added to every track by at least one, slightly imperfect, live instrument.
Surprisingly, one can dance to it all while thinking. If you are into that sort of thing.
Simon Thought and the Uploads' second album "Relationship: A War in 11 Parts". The songs chart a relationship from meeting to bliss to fighting to breakup with a more organic sound.
"Nature" is the third album by Simon Thought and the Uploads. Using some of the same methods as their debut album "Technology", this new album reveals the organic pleasures of the natural world.
BIO
Simon Thought and the Uploads are a Boston-based musical creation. The music has been described as "hard to categorize" and "unique". The intent is to use a combination of Mr. Thought's poetic, pointed lyrics with a series of impersonal sounds and beats; however, a touch of humanity is added to every track by at least one, slightly imperfect, live instrument.
Mr. Thought has always refused to post his music online, so this collaboration could be the key to having him make his extensive back catalogue available. We will see.
